A “mitarashi dango” syrup for bread developed by a long-established soy sauce manufacturer!
Concentrated apple juice is used to add the gentle acidity of apples, and brown sugar liquid is added to double the deliciousness of the bread.
With the number of soy sauce breweries in Hiroshima Prefecture declining from 300 to about 50, and a decline in Japanese breakfast consumption, this product was developed in an effort to survive, but it has become a life-saving hit.
Founded in 1967, Hiroshima Andersen is a hugely popular bakery with 50 stores in Hiroshima.
The taste and compatibility are recognized even by the bakers on the management team at Andersen, making for a new discovery and satisfying experience.
