Aomori residents take pride in their cherry blossoms, the “Hirosaki park”! But “Black konjac” and “Helmet crab” are more important than flowers?!

桜 Aomori Prefecture Residents’ Cherry Blossom Pride
Aomori Prefecture, the northernmost part of Honshu, is the last place on the island to see cherry blossoms bloom!
Popular cherry blossom spots include Hirosaki Park, ranked number one in the “cherry blossom spots you should visit at least once” list by Weathernews, as well as Gaiura Park (Aomori) and Ashino Park (Goshogawara City).
Hirosaki Park is home to approximately 2,600 cherry trees in full bloom on an area the size of more than 10 Tokyo Domes.
– The “Hirosaki Method,” which uses apple cultivation know-how to prune and manage cherry trees, allows you to enjoy spectacular cherry blossom scenery.
